Victoria and Jan Eirik would like to wish you a warm welcome to Greenland house. We are a period eight-bedroom former highland bank house built in 1905. Ideally situated in the small quiet village of Castletown in Caithness, in the highlands of Scotland, we are directly on the North coast 500 route.
The market towns of Wick and Thurso are a short drive from here, as well as many spectacular natural and historic places to see. Things to do include: surfing, golf, canoeing, boat trips around the coast or to Orkney, whale and dolphin viewing trips. Local attractions include Castle of Mey, John O’Groats, Dunnet Head, Dunnet Bay (surfers paradise), Mary Ann’s Cottage, Castlehill Heritage Centre, Dunnet Bay Distillery.
All our rooms are tastefully decorated, free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV’s and a selection of complimentary hot drinks.
We regret that we cannot accommodate stag or hen parties and pets are not allowed.
We offer both continental and cooked breakfast options, with a vegetarian option available. Gluten free options are available on request.
